Nothing will get you into the Christmas spirit like setting up Christmas displays and lights for the festive season.  Park set up happens over several weekends in October and November.  Volunteers can commit to as much or as little time as they wish.  This position is open to younger volunteers looking for high school community hours and families looking to do something unique together.  After the end of the festival in January, volunteers can assist with the removal of displays and lights.
         Time commitment: 4-5 hours on a weekend or two in October and November

Park walkers will walk Dominion Gardens park each night, weather permitting, and report on anything not working properly.  The information is shared with the Park Mechanics who will then repair or lock out the display as required.  Park Walkers sign up for the nights they wish to be scheduled based on their availability.  This is a great opportunity for those who regularly walk in Dominion Gardens Park and want to contribute to Light Up the Hills.  This job is truly just a walk in the park.

         Time commitment: Up to 30 minutes when scheduled December 1 until mid January

Park Mechanics are key to keeping the lights on in the park.  There are multiple mechanics who rotate while the displays are operational.  A Park Mechanic will be scheduled each day to check for and fix electrical outages caused by tripped breakers, separated electrical cords and vandalism.   Training is provided, mechanical aptitude is a definite asset.

       Time commitment: Sign up sheet based on your availability.  November 29 - mid January.  Time per night various.

Light Up the Hills is in need of a Grant Coordinator who will seek out and manage the application process for grants available from government and corporations for non profit community groups such as Light Up the Hills.  This position is critical for the growth of our organization.  Excellent writing skills are required.

       Time commitment: 2-3 hours per month plus meetings

Light Up the Hills is in need of a Special Events Coordinator who will coordinate and manage events during the festival.  Ignition night, Story time with Santa are our 2 signature events the Special Events  Coordinator will plan and execute  as well as develop new events for the festival.  This position requires a self starter with attention to detail who thoroughly enjoys planning parties and events. 

       Time commitment: 2-3 hours per month, July to January plus  meetings

Light Up the Hills is in need of a Fundraising Coordinator who will manage and build our corporate sponsorship program and coordinate our annual fundraising letter campaign.  This person will also be responsible for developing new donors and sponsors as well as track and follow up on donations.  This position requires a motivated self started with excellent people skills.

       Time commitment: 4-5 hours per month, February to the end of October plus  meetings
